Carol Alderton

I was born in Norwich, moved to Cambridgeshire in 1960 and attended Parkside Grammar School

In 1970 Roger, Nicholas (3 months old) and I were one of the first families to move into Bendyshe Way

Our second son was born in 1977 and now lives in the village

I was a member of the Parents Committee for the school

I have previously been a parish councillor

I qualified as an Architectural Technologist in 1990 and worked for many years for Cambridgeshire County Council, working on school projects and retired from there in 2011

I have since been self employed and have had involvement in village architectural projects including the Village Hall, Scout HQ and the Royal Oak

I was a founder member of the scout group in 1978 and have held many roles including District Commissioner and I have just received my 40 years service award

I feel that my architectural expertise will assist the Parish Council to get the optimum use of the Section 106 agreement and provide the best solution for all the villagers.
