Originally from Norfolk, I have lived around Cambridge for the last 60 years apart from forays to Antarctica (2 years) and Mexico (7 years). Barrington has been our home since 2002.
Now retired, I worked for one of the Pye of Cambridge companies as export area manager for Latin America before being seconded to Mexico to develop the market there. Upon return, I was technical director of an export project management company in the science and technical education field.
My professional career ended as a consultant on export promotion to Mexico for British Trade International, the export arm of the Department of Trade and Industry.
I don’t claim to be an expert on local government issues, but I am pleased to devote my time and energy to the village at a critical time in its history.
