Forget-me-Not Club (over 55s)

Category: Local Clubs & Associations

The Barrington Forget-me-not-club is committed to the principle of equal opportunities for all and we welcome those over 55 years from any local village who wish to join –  especially those who are severely disabled (if accompanied by a suitable carer), lonely or vulnerable.

We have regular meetings, including speakers, meals, trips out to garden centres, the seaside, shopping or any other interests. We also have coffee mornings and bingo at least twice per year, a fish and chip lunch and our Christmas lunchtime meal with entertainment. We pick up those who do not have cars and return them to home after every meeting.

Meetings normally take place in Barrington Village Hall from 2.30 p.m. until 4.30 p.m, every other Thursday – contact Jim for exact details.

We also go to visit our members in their homes to make sure that they are warm, comfortable and are well looked after. This, of course, helps the community as we are self-funding and are not dependent upon anyone else.
