Streetlighting Trenching and Cabling – This work will take place under two-way traffic lights from 14th April to 18th April. The road space permit is still pending confirmation-update to follow.
DNO Cable Installation – Once the ducting and cabling are complete, the County Council will need to install the Distribution Network Operator (DNO) cables to power the streetlights. As these cables must be installed directly by the utility companies, there is a lead time involved. This work is currntly scheduled for the second week of May.
Final Works (Speed Cushions, Terminal, and Buffer Zone) – After the streetlighting work is complete, the County Council will proceed with installing the speed cushions, new terminal, and buffer zone. These works are scheduled to take place outside of school term time, from 27th July to 8th August, under a full road closure on weekdays between 08:00 – 17:00. Once completed, this will mark the end of our works.
