What can you do for Barrington?
Looking ahead, there is still a lot of work to do for the Section 106 projects. Project money will be released at certain stages along the way (specific milestones of development) but we must be ready.
The Parish Council need your help in the areas of:
Traffic Management – there will be a budget towards improvements. An initial working party has investigated options, but more work to do. Would you like to help?
Footpaths – there will be a budget for improvements upon completion of the development. Would you like to help draw up a vision to present to the village?
Sports and Recreation – there will be money for a football pitch, money for a single layer tarmac tennis court, land for a MUSA to be provided, and a car park. The exact position of the tennis court, football pitch, car parking all needs to be agreed. Would you like to help draw up proposals for presentation to the village?
Sports Pavilion – there will be a small amount of money toward the Pavilion, along with a transfer of ownership to the village. The Parish Council will need advice on v.a.t./further funding bodies & grants plus design and requirements of the sports clubs. Current clubs have of course been consulted and will continue to be involved along the way. Do you have any skills in these areas or know anyone who would be interested in offering help?
Public Open Space at the new development – At the open meeting on 26th January 2017 the village agreed that Parish Council take ownership of the open space. Would you like to be involved in the next stages?
Village Hall & Social Club – there will be budget towards improvement of the hall. Would you like to work with the Village Hall Trustees and the Parish Council to ensure all village groups requirements are met, as well as a vision for the future? Again, skills on v.a.t./further funding bodies & grants and design will be needed. There will also be the opportunity to employ a project manager. Do you have any skills in these areas or know anyone who would be interested in offering help?
